Several years ago, we bought some hides from a girl who's parents were missionaries in Africa many years earlier. They had brought back some hides from Africa and she sold them to us. Many were elephant, but we are uncertain exactly what this hide is. It is stiff and thick, and has a almost tie-dyed appearance. I can see it used on the side of a drum. The photos do not do it justice!
